My name is Poby and I am a New York based photographer. This is about my journey in time across the USA with a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda and a 4x5 large format Linhof camera. Enjoy the blog posts about the beautiful stories happening while on the road and browse through the images created with the legendary Linhof camera. Or just sit back and watch the slideshow with the latest creations below. Soon I will be back on the road again. Thanks for following !

This is what you can put in a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda . 3 people and a whole load of gear for a video shoot including a jib crane and several tripods, stands, lights, cameras, cables….. Fantastic !
whatch this short time laps movie we made.
EVEN AFTER SOME MONTHS WE ARE STILL DRIVING THE B. HERE IN NEW YORK. SOME REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE BUT THE BAD AND BUMPY STREETS OF NEW YORK ARE STILL NOT THE FAVORITE TERRITORY OF THE BARRACUDA. YET WE HAVE FUN GOING THE SCENIC ROUTES ENJOYING THE WONDERFUL ARCHITECTURE OF THIS UNIQUE CITY. THE B. LIVES IN DUMBO NOW. THIS IS THE LITTLE HOOD BETWEEN BROOKLYN BRIDGE AND MANHATTAN BRIDGE WITH A STUNNING VIEW OF THE CITY.
A FOGGY MOMENT ( LASTED ONLY FOR 3 MINUTES ! ) AT BROOKLYN BRIDGE.
LOOKS LIKE A PAINTING BY EDWARD HOPPER, BUT IS SURE A REAL MOMENT IN THE MORNING ON MAIN STREET.
RAINBOW OVER DUMBO.
MORNING GLOW CITY VIEW.
CHRISTMAS SHOPPING ON FIFTH AVENUE WITH THE B. IT DOESN’T GET MORE CLASSY.
after a long and wonderful year of being on the road I have to understand that some day I might have to take some intense care of the B. after checking the B. at Dave’s repair shop here in Dumbo /Brooklyn he confronted me with the honest but naked truth. the one year travel and the daily ride on NYC pot holes wrecked all shocks, springs, bushings and other important parts. not to mention the brake system. cars in the 1960’s weren’t built to last forever and the single parts did wear out faster than nowadays. I knew that, because I was driving a 1964 Volvo station wagon “Amazon” in Germany for 10 years ! yet, I was just hoping it wouldn’t be so bad. well, no complaints !! it has been a wonderful journey so far and the B. never let me down ! the B. needs rest and some repair . and he will get this treatment right away. cant wait to drive again and feel the difference. I will keep you all posted on what happens. cheers
the driver. Poby
this is a 1966 Barracuda advertisement. one can recognize the 1966 version easily on the more square tail lights.
